Eco-Vanguard Accomplishment Report

SY: 2015-2016

                The following activities were accomplished by the Eco-Vanguard organizations based on the approved operational plan SY 2015-2016.

  1. Election of Officers

Members of the organization elected new set of officers. This was conducted on July 22, 2015. The following were elected.

  1. Purchased trash bins, stools and electric fans

This is for the comfort of the members of Eco-Vanguard. There were 8 electric fans, 9 trash bins and 40 stools purchased.

  1. Participated in Green Seminar in LINK Day

Members of the Eco-Vanguard participated in the Green Seminar of LINK in San Fernando City, La Union on July 4, 2015 in which they participated in the coastal/creek clean-ups, planting of native trees, Nature TREEp, eco walk and green seminar which aims to empower young people for environmental protection.

  1. Conducted river clean-up

The activity was conducted to remove trashes from the river to avoid pollution of the watershed area of DMMMSU-NLUC. The area was from the gymnasium to the main gate of the campus. This activity was conducted on July 29, 2015.

  1. Tree Planting

This activity was conducted to support the greening program of the University. Members of Eco-Vanguard and students of DMMMSU-NLUC participated in this activity. Faculty members and staffs were requested to supervise the students in the conduct of the said activity. This activity was conducted on August 19, 2015.

  1. Mass work within BPAA Complex

Members of the Eco-Vanguard and students from the courses occupying the BPAA Complex conducted cleaning along the corridors and classrooms of the buiding. Faculty members of IAWM and the other units supervised the students in the conduct of the said activity. This was undertaken on August 19,2015.

  1. Maintenance of the landscape

All members of the Eco-Vanguard helped in the maintenance of the landscape. This was conducted every week.

  1. BPAA Complex Clean-up for SCUAA delegates

Eco-Vanguard members helped together to maintain the cleanliness of the BPAA Complex for the SCUAA where the delegates will stay.

  1. Sponsored the ASOAF celebration

This is conducted to enhance and use the capabilities and skills of the students in every event. This was undertaken on February 26, 2016.

                The following activities were accomplished by the Eco-Vanguard organizations based on the approved operational plan SY 2016-2017.

  1. Election of Officers

Members of the organization elected new set of officers. This was conducted on August 24, 2016. The following were elected.

  1. Mass work within BPAA Complex

Members and officers of the Eco-Vanguard conducted cleaning along the corridors, classrooms and pond inside the building. These were undertaken quarterly.

  1. Conducted a Road Clean-up

This activity was conducted to remove trashes along the roads to avoid pollution and flooding. The area was from BPAA Complex to Casiaman Basketball Court. This activity was conducted on February 8, 2017.

  1. Beautification and Maintenance of the landscape

All members and officers of the Eco-Vanguard together with their adviser helped in the beautification and maintenance of the assigned area for landscaped. Everyday there were assigned members who will watered and weeds the area. In the end of the judgement the area ranked out of twenty two organizations handing different are in landscaping.

  1. Participated in the celebration of the University Foundation

Members and officers participated in the celebration of the foundation of the University, all allied organizations are required to sell different commodities during the Student day held at the oval of DMMMSU-NLUC on January 5, 2017.

  1. Sponsored Academics and Skills Olympic of Agroforestry and Forestry Day

Members especially the officers and its adviser actively helped in the preparation of the said activity. In the two days preparation of ASOAF we also conducted a Cultural night sponsored by Ec0Vanguard in which all members actively participated in the different activities like singing, dancing and instrumental playing. The activity was conducted to develop the skills and capabilities of the students in every event. This was undertaken on April 6-7, 2017.

  1. Joined the Leadership Training

Some of the officers joined the leadership training conducted in AVR, BPAA Complex, DMMMSU-NLUC on January 2017.

6. Beautification of BPAA Complex.*To maintain cleanliness and create a beautiful milieu applicable as a learning atmosphere for students.

7. Native tree planting.*To create a greener environment.

10. Mosquito Project.*To provide a safer and more convenient surroundings to avoid disease caused by mosquitoes.

11. Purchasing of cleaning materials.*To provide tools for the members of the organization to be used in cleaning activities.*Conduct meeting to the officers of the organization.*Eco-Vanguard officers.*To members will now have tools to use whenever an activity is performed*September.
12, Posters.*To inform the people about the environment and its concerns.*Conduct meeting to the officers of the IAWM students.*Eco-Vanguard members.*The building would be more beautiful and the students would be informed.*October.
13. Seminar/Trainings for the farmers.*To teach and train the farmers of the different planting system especially in agroforestry system.

*Coordinate with the faculties of the institute.

14. Seminar/Trainings for the students.*To teach and train students the importance of the forest and provide individuals that care for the environment.

15. Film viewing.*To educate the mass and to generate income for the organization.
